Robin Noir
Grape originally from the Rhone valley (Drôme). The Robin noir is probably derived from a cross between Chasselas and Gamay. Introduced experimentally in the Valais (Switzerland) where it took the name Rouge de Diolly, it was crossed with Pinot Noir (father) to give the Diolinoir.
It produces a colorful and bodied wine, with tight tannins.
Aromas of cherry and black fruits.
